Bonnyrigg and Lasswade are neighbouring Midlothian towns with a mix of tight old streets and modern estates. Bonnyrigg's main roads are busy with buses and shoppers, while Lasswade's village streets are narrower and hillier.
The A6094 and the road towards Dalkeith and the bypass give faster driving and roundabout practice, and the Esk valley roads add bends and gradients. It's a good all-round training area close to the city.
Musselburgh is the usual test centre from here, with Currie as an alternative.
